Why Should We Care About Our Mood?

There are many reasons to care about our mood. We live in a world where the slightest change in mood can affect the way we think and behave.

For example, when we are feeling happy, we are more likely to be motivated and do things that will make us feel even happier. But when we are feeling sad, it is harder for us to get out of that mood. This is because our brain releases chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, which make us feel good or bad depending on how they interact with other chemicals in our brains.

It is important for us to take care of ourselves by making sure that we have a balanced diet and exercise regularly so that our mood stays healthy.

5 Fun Exercises To Boost Your Mood

    1. Physical Exercise

I know I am sorry for this but it can do so much for our moods and our bodies🥰

Physical Exercise is a great way to boost your mood. It increases the levels of serotonin in your body and helps you get rid of all the stress. Here are five ways that exercise can help you feel better:

    • Exercise produces endorphins that make you feel good about yourself,
    • Working out stimulates your brain and makes it more alert.
    • Regular physical activity reduces anxiety and depression symptoms.
    • Exercising releases tension from your muscles, which can also help with anxiety and depression symptoms.
    • Doing physical exercises regularly has been shown to reduce the risk of developing depression in the future by up to 40%

      2. Take A Walk In Nature

Nature is a powerful force that can have a significant impact on our moods. Research has shown that exposure to nature can improve our health and well-being.

The benefits of spending time in nature are numerous. One study found that time spent in nature can lead to improved cognitive function, creativity, and mood.

In the modern world, it’s not always easy to find time for ourselves or for a walk in the park. But even if you don’t have much time, you can still reap the benefits of being outdoors by taking a walk at lunchtime or after work.

        3. Dance or Sing for 5 Minutes

We all have those days where we feel like we can't get out of bed, or even worse, we just don't want to get out of bed. The best way to get your mood back up is to do something that you love and enjoy. If you're not feeling too creative and can't think of anything that would make you happy, try dancing or singing for 5 minutes.

Dancing or singing is a great way to release stress and anxiety in your body while also boosting your mood.

My daughter is big into Disney's Zombies movies at the moment so we are both singing about alien invasions, exceptional Zed and I'm Finally Me..however Spotify has so many motivational and confidence playlists to choose from...

        4. Wellness Challenges

The wellness challenge is a great way to boost your mood. Here are some of the different ways you can do it.
There are so many ways to boost your mood, and the wellness challenge is one of them!

A wellness challenge is a personal commitment to explore new things, make healthy choices, and take care of yourself. It can be fun and rewarding, and there are lots of different challenges you can try!

In my Wellness Program, we have an online portal that has heaps of wellness challenges to choose from. As a community, we are currently holding a Soul Nourishing where we are doing short activities every day that will nourish our minds and body.

        5. Read an Uplifting Book or Watch an Inspiring Movie

Books and movies are excellent ways to boost your mood. They can provide you with a sense of hope, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose.

There are books that will make you laugh, books that will make you cry, and books that will inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

Reading an uplifting book or watching an inspiring movie is a great way to boost your mood and make you feel better. It can be hard to find the time to read a book or watch a movie, but it is worth the effort.
The first step is to find books that have uplifting messages in them. One example of this would be The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The second step is to find movies that are inspirational and have an uplifting message in them, such as The Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith.

We can't always control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to it.

For example, if you are in a bad mood and someone asks you a question, you will probably answer with a negative response. But if the person was in a good mood and asked the same question, your answer would be different.

We just need to be mindful of our moods and which mood we want to be in. If you want to be in a happier more positive mood, try one of the above exercises or find another one that helps you bounce back. There are many ways to stay upbeat and choose happiness. Trust me you will feel better because of it and your body will also love you for it 😊
