But there are many ways that negative energy can get into our lives. It can come from people who want to hurt us or from people who are just looking for a scapegoat for their own problems.

Negative energy can drain us of life force and make us not feel our best. It can make it difficult for us to manifest what we want in life and think positively about our own goals.
This is why we need to ensure our energy is high and we can use simple ways to protect ourselves from negative energy.

    1. Get Enough Sleep

    The body needs to rest and recover. When we don’t get enough sleep, our bodies go into a sleep-deprived state. This leaves us open to feeling negative ourselves but can also attract negative energy from others.

    The immune system is the first thing to suffer from lack of sleep. It is important for the body's defenses to be strong in order to fight off negative energy and illness.

      2. Say "No" Without Shame

      Saying no is difficult because of the fear of disappointing people or not being liked. But it's important to say no in order to preserve your mental health and well-being.
      When we are constantly saying yes, we are telling ourselves that we don't have any worth or value as an individual, which leads us into a negative energy state like depression and anxiety because we start feeling like nothing we do matters or will ever satisfy anyone.

      People often feel guilty when they say no, I get it, but this feeling should be replaced with pride because it takes courage and self-respect. It also shows that the person values themselves more than others might value them, which is a wonderful trait. Saying no can also be a sign that you are a capable individual who has their own boundaries and values.

        3. Exercise Every Day

        Exercise is one of the most important things that we can do for our health and protect ourselves from negative energy. It helps to keep our body healthy and also improves our mood. Exercise help releases stress hormones from your body, helping you feel relaxed and energised. For me, exercise is a type of counseling to release negative energy and welcome new, positive energy and feelings.

        4. Spend Time Alone in Nature

        We are living in an era where we are constantly bombarded with distractions and information. This can be detrimental to our mental health, as it can make us feel overwhelmed and unable to focus on what’s important. A study from the University of Utah found that spending time in nature can help people feel happy, healthy, and energized. The reason for this is that nature provides a stress-free environment where you can think more clearly without being distracted by technology or other people.

        In nature, there is so much positive energy to take in. It might sound weird, but walking on the grass in bare feet, or touching plants with your hands can bring you a lot of positive energy. When spending time in nature, it is easier to appreciate what you have rather than focus on all the things you don’t. Be sure to take frequent breaks from technology and find opportunities to get some fresh air and connect with nature!

        5. Meditate or Mindfulness Daily

        Meditation is a practice that has been around for centuries. It is an exercise in self-awareness and mindfulness. It can be done anywhere, anytime, and it has been proven to have many benefits. It can help improve our focus, reduce stress levels, increase our creativity and even promote better sleep. Meditation also helps protect us from negative energy which is something that we are constantly exposed to in this day and age.

         This awareness is becoming more and more important because of the prevalence of technology. We are constantly connected to our devices, be it a phone, computers, or television. Being in constant contact with these devices releases negative energy into our environment which can affect us negatively. By practicing meditation and/or mindfulness activities, we can create a stronger shield against that negativity and reclaim our space by reducing outside interference.


        In life there is positive and negative energy all around us. It is impossible for us humans to be positive all the time… but there are ways to protect ourselves and release negative energy. It isn’t fun or healthy to have negative energy, it can affect our lives in many negative ways.
