DIY Essential Oil Soap

If you've never made your own soap before, you would probably be surprised by how easy it can be. Adding essential oils to homemade soap is a wonderful way to infuse potent, natural fragrances. Essential oil soap can be used as a cleansing agent, a moisturizer, a skin treatment, and even as an aromatherapy tool.

The benefits of using essential oil soap are many. It is all-natural and healing for your skin without the use of harsh chemicals or synthetic ingredients. There are so many different essential oils to choose from that you can find just what you need for your body type and needs.

Essential oils have been used in natural remedies for centuries because of their healing properties. While it may seem like they are just intended for medicinal purposes, they are also great to use in home remedies - such as using them in your soap!

The step-by-step instructions for this DIY Rosemary Spearmint Soap are easy to follow, with an end product that smells lovely and refreshing.

Ingredients:

Olive oil melt-and-pour soap base 
Silicone mold
15 drops Spearmint oil
15 drops Rosemary oil
Optional: Dried herbs

Instructions

  1. Cut off the amount of soap base you want to use and place it into a microwave safe bowl.
  2. Melt the soap into liquid form in increments of 30 seconds.
  3. Add a handful of dried herbs to the soap mold.
  4. Add Spearmint and Rosemary essential oils.
  5. Mix together and pour into molds.
  6. Let it sit for an hour.
  7. Remove the soap from the mold.

Note: The soap should be good for a few months.
