Do you have time to relax?

Are you in constant watch mode for what is coming up next?

I know I need to intentionally put time aside for myself, or else it will never happen!

We live in a world of chaos. It's the new norm. The pace of life is faster than ever before, and we are constantly bombarded with information from all corners of our lives. It's no wonder that many people report feeling stressed, anxious, or even depressed on a regular basis.

Here are 5 ways to find the calm you crave.

How to find the calm you crave in 5 easy steps

1. Start Your Day With  Purposeful Acts Of Gratitude

A gratitude journal is a way to start your day with purposeful acts of gratitude. It can be done by writing down three things that you are grateful for, three things that you are looking forward to, and one thing that makes you happy.

This simple practice has been shown to increase happiness and reduce stress levels.

    2. Take A Deep Breath and Count to 3

Taking a deep breath and counting to three can be an effective way of calming down.

This technique is also known as “counting to 10” or “counting backward by 3”. The idea is to take a few deep breaths, then count slowly from 3 to 1 in your head.

If you find yourself feeling anxious, try this technique the next time you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed out. It might not work for everyone, but it's worth a try!

      3. Plan Ahead For Stressful Situations

Managing stress is a crucial part of our lives. But what exactly is stress? Stress is when we feel overwhelmed by the demands of our environment, to the point that it causes physical and mental health problems.

One way to combat this problem is by preparing ahead of time for stressful situations that might come up in your life. This could be anything from an argument with a family member or friend to an upcoming presentation at work. Before you find yourself in the middle of a stressful situation, take 10 minutes and plan out what you'll say or do before it happens!

      4. Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the act of focusing on the present moment. It can be done through meditation, yoga, or other practices. It has been shown to have many benefits for mental and physical health, such as increasing happiness and reducing stress.

There are many different mindfulness techniques that people can use to practice mindfulness. Some of the most popular ones are meditation, yoga, walking outside in nature, and listening to music. There are also many resources online with guided meditations that people can use if they're interested in trying out mindfulness but don't know where to start!

      5. Try Natural Therapies

There are many different therapies you can try to help find your calm. One can be essential oils which have been used for centuries to help calm the mind, body, and soul. Other therapies can be using crystal, colour, or meditation. Kinesiology and Reiki can also help you find and help maintain your calm.

      Conclusion

Life is so much more fast paced then it was before social media and other popular technologies. There are many health issues that can arise from being stressed and anxious, we owe it to ourselves to look after ourselves and find what makes us calm. You can start by putting aside at least 15 minutes a day to help calm your mind and your body. There are many great meditations available on youtube and Spotify both guided and nature sounds to help you calm and relax. Try this for a week and you won’t want to go back 😊
