As a Kinesiologist and Reiki Healer I work extensively with the Chakra’s and it is amazing to see how they can effect our lives whether they are balanced or not.

The Root or Base Chakra, also known as Muladhara, is one of the 7 major Chakras in the body, and if it is out of balance it can cause all sorts of unhelpful emotions and disconnect.

In this article, I will explain what a chakra is, what the root Chakra can do and 5 signs it may be out of balance.


What Is a Chakra?

Chakra, a Sanskrit term meaning “wheel” or “circle”, are energy centers of our body. It is believed and seen by thousands if not millions that within each of us, there are seven chakras that run along the spine from the base of the spine to the crown of our head. Each chakra is associated with a particular area of physical and emotional well-being, and when these energies are balanced, we can experience greater health and happiness in our lives. Chakra balancing is an ancient practice used to restore balance to these energy centers and promote overall well-being. By understanding what each chakra represents and how they interact with one another, we can learn how to access and balance them for improved health and well-being.

    What Is The Root Chakra and How Does It Impact Your Well-Being?

    The root chakra is the first of the seven major energy centers in our body. It is located at the base of the spine and is associated with our sense of security, stability, and grounding.         To restore balance in this energy center, there are various techniques such as walking in nature, pilates, yoga, meditation, and visualization. Other methods such as Reiki, Kinesiology, crystals, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi can also balance the root chakra.
