Teaching children kindness can be done in many different ways. Parents can help children by modeling the behavior they want them to learn, they can teach them how to be kind by giving them examples of what it means, or they can praise their children when they do something kind.

Children also need to understand that it's not always about being the best or winning a competition. They should emphasise that there are other ways of being happy in life than succeeding at everything or being rich.
